Julien is on sabbatical to further his studies in 2016.
Julien is a career and guidance counsellor, member of the Ordre des conseillers et conseillères d’orientation du Québec. He has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from McGill University. He interned at Champlain College and currently works part-time at Vanier College as a career/guidance counsellor.
As a fully bilingual practitioner, Julien works with teenagers and adults at all stages of life, providing both individual and group-based career counselling. His methods focus on using personal exploration as a springboard for finding meaningful and intrinsically motivating careers, based on the philosophy that knowing one’s self is at the core of personal fulfillment.
Julien offers various strategies and tools to support individuals through transitional career phases, and empowers them to become the principle actors of their own development. In a way, ‘teaching individuals to fish’ as opposed to simply ‘giving them a fish’. Julien is currently furthering his training in order to become a licensed psychologist.
“Julien is easy to open up to, and I felt very comfortable in session with him. The methods and tools he uses allow me to look at myself in a way I had never looked before, which was useful for helping me find a career that really suits who I am.”
