You may find yourself in need of help but unsure what kind of help to pursue. Therapy and coaching are different kinds of support but how exactly do they differ?
You might benefit from therapy if you’re looking to:
Understand and process difficult emotions
Heal from experiences that continue to affect your present
Improve your mental health and emotional well being
Learn coping strategies for anxiety, depression, trauma or other mental health concerns
Explore patterns in your relationships or emotional responses
You might benefit from coaching if you’re looking to:
Turn intention into consistent action
Develop practical strategies for everyday challenges
Improve time management, organization and follow through
Work toward personal or professional goals
Have accountability while you implement changes
It can be helpful to think of therapy and coaching as different tools in a toolbox – both are useful but they are designed for different purposes. There isn’t a ‘right’ choice between therapy and coaching. Some people start with therapy, then seek coaching when they’re ready to implement change. Others can benefit from doing coaching and therapy in tandem. If you’re unsure which support is right for you, reach out to us and we’ll help you find the path of support that works best for your needs.
