Tia Maric, MA, MSc, MCP

I am a licensed counsellor psychotherapist with the Ordre des Conseillers et Conseillères d’Orientation du Québec (O.C.C.O.Q.) and the Ordre des Psychologues du Québec (O.P.Q.)

When struggling with different issues, seeking professional help can be challenging at times, however finding the right therapeutic approach and fit are usually always beneficial and shown to have good outcomes.

My approach is trauma-informed and integrative, using different therapeutic models including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Psychodynamic therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Somatic Therapy, and Neuropsychotherapy, all under the lens of understanding how trauma, whether on a large or small scale, can impact our lives.

I provide a safe, collaborative, non-judgmental, and transparent environment using somatic, mindfulness, compassion and strength-based approaches. I also take a person-centered approach to working with diverse populations. My approach is tailored to the individual, as services are not a one size fits all.

I am able to treat individuals with concerns such as life transitions, depression, anxiety, pain and illness, stress, multicultural issues, addiction, insomnia, brain fog, ADHD, PTSD, relationships as well as general poor cognitive-emotional functioning. My 360-degree will help you rewire maladaptive networks in your mind brain and body to improve your overall physical health and mental health.

I have been practicing for over 8 years and have included my own somatic work in my personal life such as meditation, pilates and kickboxing. I love to spend time with loved ones and engaging in cultural activities around the city.
